Rambling through the Internet we are connected to different ways of engaging with sites/place…
There is no way to cut through the sheer volume of content related to the physical sites that have been published online. Our overview of the physical site is dictated by our browser history, cookies and what algorithms think we are most likely to engage with. Slow Internet connection and adverts constantly interrupt and interfere with my journey across the digital terrain. These same challenges and interruptions happen in physical journeys. When walking through these spaces personal histories, physical bodies and physical barriers in the landscape (bogs, fences, roads, etc.) dictate how we interact with the history and geography of sites.
