Shíd/sith (pronounced shee), can u hear me?  

Shíd/sith (Shee), can u hear? Is the beginning of a research project investigating Cupped Stones throughout Europe, starting in Scotland. Seeking to redefined and reimagined the ancient technology as communication devices that transcend space and time, by looking at their sonorous qualities and questioning their mythologised identity and how they sit in relation to modernity and industry in the landscape. looking into early Technospheres and how communicate with modern human infastructure.  

This research seeks to resets cultural perceptions by imaging the stones as speculative communication devices that able to contact the Shíd/sith, Fairy Folk that border our own world appearing and disappearing at will. looking at how these ideas still exist in the modern psyche as aspects of this folklore are adapted to fit into new cultural interpretations, such as tales of military personal appearing in the landscape, that are conflated and wrapped imaginings of in places such as Cruachan power station.
